Miss Jabberwock Scholarship Pageant is sponsored by the Fort Worth Alumnae Chapter in conjunction with Beta Rho Education and Development Corporation (BREAD), a non-profit 501(c)3 foundation. The pageant is an annual event for high school senior girls exemplifying a vital concern for social welfare, academic excellence, and cultural enrichment. Through this valuable, fundraising activity, participants are awarded scholarships to assist them in furthering their education. The contestants raise funds by soliciting souvenir book ads. Although each participant is awarded a scholarship or book stipend, only one participant is crowned “Miss Jabberwock.”
