Welcome to the official site of the Fort Worth Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated!

My name is Dr. Talemah M. Jones, and I have the honor and privilege of serving as Chapter President of the Fort Worth Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, representing more than 300-chapter members. I have been a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated for more than 30 years and a member of the award-winning Fort Worth Alumnae Chapter for more than 20 years. Our chapter has a longstanding history in the Fort Worth community of providing impactful programming, meaningful service, and engaging events that benefit the community. I look forward to continuing to build and strengthen our partnerships with community organizations and leaders as we work together to serve our community. After all, we have been a service organization since our founding in 1913.

Our members are eager to make an impact on lives throughout the Fort Worth community—from youth participating in our Delta Academy and Delta GEMS programs to senior citizens served through our partnership with a local community center, and everyone in between. As an organization “We Are Social Action”, and we must demonstrate that through our voter education and registration efforts which we will continue during my tenure as president.  Through smart, innovative, and engaging programming, we remain committed to advancing the mission of our organization by strengthening communities and aiding those in need.

The Fort Worth Alumnae Chapter has faithfully served the community since being chartered as Beta Rho in 1938. We are committed to embracing the vision of our 22 Founders by developing and providing programs aligned with our Five-Point Programmatic Thrust: Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health, and Political Awareness and Involvement.

As Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated continues to thrive through more than 1,050 collegiate and alumnae chapters worldwide, the Fort Worth Alumnae Chapter looks forward to welcoming new members and reconnecting with Sorors who are seeking a chapter home. We embrace opportunities to build meaningful relationships, strengthen our sisterhood, and engage members in service, scholarship, and sisterhood.
